So earlier this week we were called out to do some ceramic tile grout cleaning in Leamington Spa Warwickshire. The client approached us asking us to come give her a quote due to her grout lines looking really dirty from years of food being dropped and having muddy doggies running through the kitchen all the time. The original colour of the grout was grey but they were pretty much black by the time we were called in and in desperate need she needed our help to bring them back to new again, of course little did she know but we was about to bring her Ceramic floor back to life again making her happier and leaving stress free! After all we are here to make a difference in people’s lives.

Ceramic Hard Tile Floor Cleaning In Leamington Spa:

When we arrived at the property our first approach was to protect all the units to stop the kitchen units from getting messy. Then we pre sprayed a high alkaline product onto the grout lines and left this for about twenty minutes, normally we would spray the tile too but in this case it’s ceramic so it has a constant layer of protection as this is not a natural stone this is a man made tile and the way that this tile was manufactured allows it to have a constant repel against any dirt and grime. So after we allowed the product to work, we then scrubbed the grout lines by hand using a grout brush designed for this type of job. After we did this, we then brought our rotary machine in with a scrubbing brush to go over the tiles and grout for an extra clean, making sure we get the best we possibly can on the floor! So when we was happy with the thorough scrub, we then rinsed the floor using a high pressure extraction machine which shoots water at 1400 psi and vacuums the soiled water at the same time. Rinsing the floor also removes any dirt that the grout brush couldn’t get too using the high pressure to blast the pores on the grout lines. This was left to dry for a couple of days but normally we could seal this on the same day.

Leamington Spa Ceramic Tile Floor Sealing:

When we returned to the property a couple days later, we tested the floor with our moisture meter the make sure the grout lines were dry(because if they still have moisture in the sealant will not bond). We then proceeded to get the sealer ready and as most floors we use a impregnated sealer that covers the tiny pores in the grout, as we said above the tile itself does not need sealing due to its coating that’s put on when manufactured, So the tile has a constant seal on it making it very easy to maintain. We then poured the sealant into small bottles we use designed for sealing grout lines with special nozzles on them! We flooded the grout lines with product to make sure the grout has been sealed properly normally flooding the grout with sealer is equivalent to about 2/3 coats.
