Your Local Thorough Slate Floor Cleaners In Lillington had a phone call from a lovely lady requesting to go see her once beautiful Slate floor, the floor become completely lacking it’s original colour also life in this floor, in need of our professional thorough cleaning services, especially in that well-walked on kitchen, they were now overdue for a deep thorough clean & re-seal, so we were asked to come strip back the floor and re-seal so they could have their original beautiful floor back.
This floor hadn’t been cleaned by an expert for years and was in a very poor condition and it appeared lots of ranges of cleaning products had been applied to the floor. So we decided the best course of action for the slate floor, would be to strip the floor back to its original condition first. Meaning we will clean the floor and remove all the residue cleaning products.With this aim we applied a dilution ratio of 1:10 of our professional floor cleaning stripping product, (which is a sealer and residue remover) and it was left to do its action within the tiles for a good twenty minutes before being scrubbed using our top of the range rotary machine fitted with what we call a Monster scrubbing brush designed for slate.After the slate floor was scrubbed thoroughly, we had to rinse off the soiled solution with our state of the art electric extraction system. Which shoots water out at 1400 psi at the same time picking the water up; All the stubborn/hard areas were then re-treated in the same way, once we was happy with the condition of the floor, it was then given another thorough rinse to remove any excess of cleaning product and then left to dry for a few days.

We then returned a few days later to make sure the slate floor in Lillington was dry to be able to seal the floor (some floors normally take longer than a few days to dry). We proceeded to seal the Slate floor with a couple of saturations of our sealing product, the sealant we used for this particular floor is an impregnating sealer that penetrates deep into the stone, provides a very good surface protection, the customer was also after a matt finish which the sealer product, we use is designed for matt finishes on Slate floors.
