Adding more sealer on top of existing leads to a bigger problem further down the line, so a pre spray of 1 of our effective products we use to get the best results was applied to the floor, then left to soak for a short while before being scrubbed in with a rotary machine fitted with the black scrubbing supreme pads and for further thorough result we used an abrasive brush too.The product we used was a powerful stripper which is safe to use on Quarry Tile it can remove coatings, it also does a remarkable job in cleaning the floor at the same time. I also like to run a stiff grout brush along the grout lines as the floor pads and brush do not remove the dirt from the pores of the grout, the soiled cleaning solution was then removed completely using a wet vacuum, the floor thoroughly rinsed with water and then left to dry three days in some floor up to a week, which was needed for the floor to be dry before sealer can be applied (some floors may take longer to dry all depending on age,how the floor is laid and if there is a damp proof course underneath).

We returned a week after allowing enough time for the floor to dry so sealing could begin and in regards to completing the job, I checked for dampness also any ugly spots that would need further attention to detail, once happy started with sealing the Quarry Tiled Floor. On this occasion four coats of our sealer product was applied (Due to the Quarry tile being very porous). This sealer product gave a matt finish, brings out the natural colours in the tile floor whilst providing stain protection by soaking deep into the pores of the Quarry tile, preventing soil from becoming ingrained there keeping your floor clean for longer and looking it’s best for period for up to three years depending on the usage and how you maintain your floor.
